Craft Positions:
All Shipyard Craft Positions currently have openings at all three facilities.
Mechanical Engineer:
BS degree in marine mechanical engineering or a BS in sciences with appropriate engineering training and documented work history. Five to seven years mechanical engineering experience. Prefer marine experience on commercial vessels. Mechanical aptitude and system knowledge required. AutoCAD experience is required. Must be able to develop machinery designs from ship specifications and regulatory requirements.
Naval Architect:
Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture with five to seven years of structural experience, preferably on commercial vessels. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Knowledge of regulatory body regulations a must. AutoCAD experience required.
Planner/Scheduler: Minimum of five years experience as a Master Scheduler in a commercial shipyard. Proficient in blueprint reading, Microsoft Office Products and Commercial shipbuilding scheduling software. Technical training in Production Management preferred.
Program Manager:
Requires college degree or equivalent college level course study in production management or engineering or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Previous experience managing/supervising administrative and/or production areas needed. Insures that the contractual obligations for assigned programs are fulfilled, serves as primary contract with the customer. Coordinates engineering, purchasing, scheduling and subcontract work. Reviews and analyzes new contracts. Prepares and review contract data submittal. Prepares contract change order proposals. Responds to all customer inquires pertaining to assigned programs. Ensures accurate, complete records are maintained. Reviews and submits regular, special and final reports
Project Engineer:
Requires a Bachelors degree in technical field or equivalent experience. Experience in engineering project management as well as shipbuilding practices. Strong leadership and management skills required. Good interpersonal skills. Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills. Must be self motivated and work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a team environment.
Safety Representative: Knowledge of State and Federal regulations relative to safety, health, environment, and workers compensation required. Ability to maintain accurate, current records and generate complete and timely reports. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees. Requires completion of standard education supplemented by training in first-aid. Some plant inspector or safety administration; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Senior Marine Estimator: Preferred knowledge consists of a college degree in related field or equivalent job training. A minimum of seven years in Marine Estimating preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures for developing cost estimates required. Must be able to work from specifications, read blueprints and complete a full steel takeoff. Must be fluent in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of Word.. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Senior Piping Designer:
Requires seven plus years of piping design experience. Preferably marine experience on commercial vessels. Piping aptitude and system knowledge required. Familiar with Regulatory Body requirements. AutoCAD experience is required, 3D modeling a plus. Good knowledge of design and drafting principles. Some knowledge of manufacturing processes. Ability to work with drafting materials and equipment.
Senior Production Designer:
