Craft Positions:

All Shipyard Craft Positions currently have openings at all three facilities.

Electrical Engineer

10 plus years experience in marine electrical systems design. Working knowledge of ABS and other Regulatory rules. Familiar with shipboard integration of electrical and electronic systems. Capable of developing wiring diagrams and block diagrams with the required analysis with the system development. Familiar with the development of purchase technical specifications. Capable of determining the requirements of the owner’s specification and developing system design in accordance with those requirements and regulatory requirements.

Electrical Senior Designer

15 plus years experience in marine electrical design. Working knowledge of AutoCad and Ship Constructor. Experienced in developing electrical equipment arrangements. Also experienced in developing wiring and block diagrams. Cable routing experience a plus. Capable of checking other designers work.

Mechanical Engineer

10 plus years experience in marine mechanical systems design. Working knowledge of ABS and other Regulatory rules. Also experienced in shipboard machinery installation and the development of machinery installation procedures. Capable of performing pressure drop and flow analysis of piping systems. Familiar with the development of purchase technical specifications. Capable of determining the requirements of the owner’s specification and developing system design in accordance with those requirements and regulatory requirements.

Naval Architect

10 plus years experience in all phases of naval architecture. Working knowledge of AutoCad, GHS, Rhino, and other ship design/stability software. Capable of determining the requirements of the owner’s specification and developing system design in accordance with those requirements and regulatory requirements. Familiar with Regulatory Rules such as ABS and DNV.

Senior Mechanical Designer

15 plus years experience in ship design. Working knowledge of Ship Constructor. Familiar with developing machinery arrangements and mechanical drawings. Experienced in pipe design also a plus. Capable of checking other designers work.

Structural Design Supervisor

15 plus years experience in ship design. Working knowledge of Ship Constructor. Familiar with developing ship arrangements and foundation design. Capable of checking other designers work. Capable of supervising design personnel on multiple projects. Familiar with scheduling groups work and applying resources.

Structural Engineer

10 plus years experience in the design and analysis of ship structure. Working knowledge of AutoCad, Rhino, Algor, and capable of performing Finite Element Analysis. Working knowledge of ABS and other Regulatory rules.

Structural /Outfitting Senior Designers

15 plus years experience in ship design. Working knowledge of Ship Constructor. Familiar with developing ship arrangements and foundation design. Capable of checking other designers work.

Weight Analyst

10 plus years experience in ship design. Comprehensive knowledge of analytical methods for determining mass properties of marine products and components. Knowledge of government and regulatory standards pertaining to physical mass properties including SAWE recommended Practices 12, 13 & 14. Highly computer literate, especially with spread sheet programs including Ship Weight Software.
