Offshore Service Vessels
|
VT Halter Marine expanded its leadership in the offshore service vessel market when it developed seven new designs to reflect recent changes in U.S. Coast Guard regulations. Each of these designs is currently in service and they range in size from 205-foot platform supply vessels to the recently delivered 279-foot Construction Anchor/Handling Tug (CAHT) vessel. The 16,000-horsepower Cal Dive Aker Dove is the largest OSV operating in the Gulf of Mexico and can perform not only normal deepwater rig support duties but serves as an ROV support vessel and can install subsea components with a 300-ton aft-mounted A-frame crane. |
